Australia Dollar banknotes

Australia first issued polymer banknotes as currency in 1988 and by 1996 changed all paper money to polymer banknotes which incorporate various security features not available in paper money. Polymer banknotes also last significantly longer than paper bills making them much cheaper to use over their lifetime. Brunei, Canada, New Guinea, New Zealand, Romania and Vietnam have also switched to polymer banknotes
